We Have A "Different" View On Privacy

The Chamber considers “Personal Information” as that data required to process payment for an account with a credit card. We treat business validation documents as confidential, and share them with no one.

All other data is provided by the Member for their American Chamber of eCommerce member profile.

Such data includes a Business Name, Account Administrator Contact Name(s), Phone Number, Email, and Website URL, as well as future posts or publications of media, all of which is to meant be shared with other members.

Chamber Membership Consists Of Business Entities... Not Individuals.

Not just your business, but your BRAND becomes a member.

If a business has not provided live online links to state or federal sources, they can confirm their legal status in the United States or its territories, they can provide official documentation of various forms to be received and stored electronically until we can confirm legitimacy and satisfy the Chamber’s requirements.

No one but a business owner or its authorized principals may open and establish an account. The Chamber does not harvest business data from any source to offer the ability to “claim” their listing.

Upon validation, these documents may be redacted and archived or destroyed.

It is the direct responsibility of each and every member to manage the publication, editing, correctness and removal of their own data and content. Closing an account permanently deletes profiles.

An authorized Member representative may close their account at any time.

The Chamber may close an account for cause if, at the sole discretion of Chamber staff, it is in the best interest of Chamber Membership.

We'll do our best to keep out the riffraff, including fake profiles, false flag operations and other nefarious entities so you may trust and be trusted by our Chamber membership..

For the purpose of joining the American Chamber of eCommerce, profile data and provided content is to be shared with other Chamber members.

Our Chamber's purpose is to promote each Member's brand.

When we recognize business opportunities outside of our network, we will share contact information with potential leads and inquiries, and/or provide notes to members directly.

Note that the Chamber is not authorized to make promises or guarantees, or enter into any agreement on behalf of Members. The Chamber's role is to facilitate introductions and promote good businesses.

While the Chamber is a closed private network, we may maximize member brands across public social media by posting and reposting and other interactions with public social media profiles and content to magnify and maximize search engine results.

In additions, the Chamber will be publishing public websites to further maximize member brands and search engine success. That includes "ProductReps.com" (free, exclusively for the makers, manufacturers and wholesalers of the Chamber), and "EPluribusUnum.org," our public blog intended to repost quality content, including member content from various sources..

The strategic partners that make up the Chamber’s Business Stack may be approached directly by a member through the means of contact provided (which varies from partner to partner).

The Chamber has selected and curated these providers of goods and services for their bespoke qualities, and make them available for Members to save time and money, and avoid costly trial and error results. Members are free to ask the Chamber for introductions. However, Members are in no way obligated to use the services of these Chamber partners. If they do, note that the Chamber has negotiated some form of referral fees, growing volume discounts to be passed on to Members, or both.

Regardless of Member interests in these partners, member data is not routinely provided to them. However, they are profiled in the Chamber membership. Partners may find an occasion to contact a Member directly for a specific opportunity, but, as with all Members, they cannot solicit the Membership in mass or any systematic way (the Chamber considers that to be a form of spam). The Chamber may, however, authorize or send on their behalf, infrequent messages or special member offers. Partners have their own Privacy Policies, and care should be taken to understand them, and opt out of their email activities and data sharing if needed.

If a prospective Member does not accept these strategies and policies, they should not open a Chamber account.
